Santorini - Part One

Good morning world!

I've spent the last few days in beautiful Santorini, Greece, with my boyfriend, soaking up the sun, gorging ourselves with food and exploring the little island.

We arrived in Santorini in the early afternoon, checked in and immediately stripped down and lay by the pool for the day. We ate lunch, read and bombed into the pool a few times (kidding, it was too nice to but so tempting).

We stayed in the best hotel, The Rocabella, great location, the best views, prestine, and we recieved a complementary upgrade to a suite!

We headed down to Thira, the capital, in the late afternoon and shopped in the little boutiques and browsed the little ornaments and bits and bobs. The village is high on the clifftop and overlooks the ocean and caldera view, it's made up of tiny cobbled streets covered with little flowers.

A few delicious bakerys didn't go a miss and of course the gelato...

And we made a few friends on the way...

We watched the sunset and had a lovely first Greek dinner at Argos Taverna, we even got all adventerous and had the Patitini (their speciality) which was a sort of dried noodle covered in egg and parmesan as well as zucchini balls. The resturant has a beautiful view and we ate on a cute rustic terrace with lots of little wooden tables. They even gave us a panna cotta, which we gobbled up in no time!

Our heads hit the pillows whilst the city stayed awake, a perfect afternoon and evening!
