Cooper Kenya Event

Me and technology don't go well together, last week I managed to break three cameras.

3.
In a week.

My daddy definitely wasn't happy as I scuffled into his office holding the remains. The worst part about it (in my view) was that I lost tons of photos I took at a charity event.

You may remember in one of my instagram catch-up posts I mentioned that I had been very busy organising an event. An indulgence evening to raise money for a school in Kenya that educates orphans. It was a huge success and raised over £1,700!

I took tons of photos on the night on my DSLR and when I came back to upload them onto my laptop I put the memory card in the wrong way and blew the fuse. So gutted! I've sent it to Mr. Canon with a note begging him to fix it. So, fingers crossed I'll get all my lovely pictures back so I can show you all!

I didn't want to leave it too long and forget about the amazing cause and help from everyone. In the mean time here are a few photos from previous events to give you all an idea of what went on.

Lots of stalls selling jewellery, clothes, makeup, gifts, food and more as well as lots of people!

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that came and to my sponsors, many of whom have been supporting me fundraising for years. A special enormous thank you to..

Driven Executive Hire, for those of you living in or around London, this is the best chauffeur service ever! I've been using them for years, they've always been unbelievable and sponsored all five of my past charity events.

Best in Beauty, although it may be a little far for some of you to travel me and my mum have been to dozens of hairdressers and nobody compares to these ladies, based in Hertfordshire.

And to all the local support from Jewellery Workshop, The Bull Pen in Battler's Green Farm - who do the best brunch and have started doing dinner! - and bunches florist.

Lastly here are a few photos of the school and the gorgeous children we have helped.

If you are interested in helping Cooper Kenya you can help by donating, fundraising or volunteering in the school in Kenya, you can find all the information you need online here.

A great cause and every donation makes a difference!

  3. Wow, this looks like such a neat organization! I just spent my afternoon "Christmas shopping" for orphans and impoverished communities...there is a really neat website where you can buy goats, bicycles, mosquito nets, wheelchairs, everything you could think of...and it gets sent overseas.

Love your blog! Thanks for following mine, def following yours too :)

    1. I blew the fuse in a memory card by putting it into the reader the wrong way round, I then tried to put it into different cameras to see if it would work and it broke all of the cameras I put it into! Awful!! X
